Fraser Place Kuala Lumpur was one of the contributing establishments for the charity drive organized by Lions Club of Kuala Lumpur Bukit Kiara lately in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration. Fraser Place Kuala Lumpur, the third time winner of Best of Malaysia award in the Best Serviced Residence 2015 category, donated face towels, hand towels and their corporate mascot soft toys aptly named “Luc and Lucia”, to Juara Home recently.
Juara Home was established as a non-profit children home in January 1998. The centre gradually expanded and on June 1999, Juara 2 was set up to meet the growing needs of the children ranging in age from 3 – 16 years old. The home provides shelter to orphaned, abandoned and abused children from destitute and broken family environment.
Ms Shirley Lai, the Group General Manager of Fraser Place Kuala Lumpur and Fraser Residence Kuala Lumpur was moved as she saw the joy in the faces of the children and commented, “It is in giving that we find the true commitment and satisfaction towards our human kind”.
Fraser Residence Kuala Lumpur, for the consecutive year, took part in the “2016 Chinese New Year Lantern & Floral Exhibition Festival” recently. The winner of World Travel Awards 2015 in the category of Malaysia’s Leading Serviced Apartment, supported this colourful and lively event by obtaining a table for the “Song He” Vegetarian Charity Dinner which was held at Dong Zen Temple, Jenjarom, on the outskirt of Selangor. The objective of this dinner was to raise fund for their upcoming temple in Johor Bahru.
A few of its long stay guests were selected to take part in this dinner with transportation provided all the way to Jenjarom. It wasn’t just the dinner that these guests enjoyed, but the display of rare and beautiful flower types and the mesmerising light decorations throughout the whole exhibition village. It was a combination of a guest relations activity as well as a charity drive for Fraser Residence Kuala Lumpur. It was an opportunity for the residence to get its guests to participate and educate them that we do think of the unfortunate ones from wherever we are and whatever we do.
