Mah Sing Goes “The Extra Mile” For Autistic Kids

Mah Sing Group Berhad’s corporate social responsibility platform, Mah Sing Foundation attracted a crowd of 1,380 participants for the inaugural Mah Sing Foundation Charity Fun Run.  The 4.7km fun run was held at Lake Gardens (Perdana Botanical Gardens) to raise awareness for autistic children and children in need.

Dato’ Syed Norulzaman B. Syed Kamarulzaman, Chairman of Mah Sing Foundation said, “I am very proud and delighted to say that through the support of our sponsors and contributors, the response to this event was tremendous, with 1,380 runners participating. At the same time, Mah Sing Foundation has managed to raise RM1.28 million which will allow the Foundation to continue helping the needy and deserving.”

Contributions were channeled to several non-profit organizations on that day, including Inisiatif Sokongan Austime Nouri; CADS Enhancement Centre; Little Yellow Flower Education Foundation; Berkat Children’s Home, Johor; Montfort Youth Training Centre, Sabah; and Handicapped Children’s Centre, Penang.

Mohd Fakri Bin Nor Affandi, the founder and principal of Inisiatif Sokongan Austime Nouri thanked Mah Sing Foundation for the kind support. “On behalf of all the beneficiaries, we would like thank Mah Sing Foundation for championing this cause to raise awareness about autism and also to raise funds in aid of children in need.”

The event also saw participants walking away with amazing lucky draw prizes worth up to RM40,000 which includes iPad mini, a leather armchair worth RM4,888.00, an air board and cash vouchers.
