The management and employees of AirAsia X Berhad recently paid a visit to the elderly residents of Ampang Old Folks Home in Kuala Lumpur and touched the lives of its residents in more ways than one.
Led by Benyamin Ismail, Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia X Berhad, the group distributed red packets and gift hampers to the elderly residents while spending some quality time with them in the morning.
Benyamin and his team were moved by the stories and experiences related by folks at the home. He said, “We are very happy to be here today to visit the elderly residents of Ampang Old Folks Home who have so many touching life stories to share. Spending time with them has been very rewarding. We do hope that our little visit today have also brought smiles to their faces. We strongly believe in giving back to the communities we serve, and we will strive to achieve a perfect balance between business and fulfilling our social responsibilities.”
Established in 1953, the Ampang Old Folks Home located in Ampang New Village currently houses over 50 elderly residents aged 60 and above. The home takes care of senior citizens who are without immediate family members such as spouse or children.
