ExcelVite’s CSR team visited Pusat Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Dan Miskin Budi Mulia Nurul Huda, at Chemor, Perak.

On 17th November 2018, 27 employees and family members of ExcelVite Sdn Bhd visited “Pusat Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Dan Miskin Budi Mulia Nurul Huda” at Chemor as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme.

“Pusat Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Dan Miskin Budi Mulia Nurul Huda” was established on 18 August 2005. This orphanage centre, which is located in Tanah Hitam, Chemor, currently housed 42 students with age range from 5 years old to 18 years old. The Head of the orphanage – Ayah Din, is assisted by 7 other teachers and assistants.

The monthly expenses of this orphanage are about RM 19,000 – which covers the costs for food, utility bills, maintenance of the orphanage, petrol for the van (to fetch the orphans to and from school) as well as daily school allowances for the orphans (RM2 each person).

Currently, the orphanage is in need of daily grocery items such as rice, milo, milk powder, etc., as well as cash money to pay for utilities and daily expenses.

During the visit, ExcelVite’s team conducted fun activities and games with the children, such as Sudoku, sweets in flour, “musang berjanggut”, passing water balloon, bite the apple, sign & body language, alphabet & quiz.

Cash donation of RM 2,500 was presented during the visit. The company has also contributed groceries & sundry items as well as providing lunch on that day.

“We wish to cultivate the culture of ‘Helping others in need’ among our employees, and also to keep reminding ourselves that we should be thankful for what we have as others might not have a chance to experience it. Let’s make the world a better place. It starts with you,” says Mr. Danial Cheong, ExcelVite’s Advisor to the CSR committee.
