With clear and bright morning skies, a group consisting of families and colleagues of the Mahkota Parade management team gathered at the Melaka River Cruise ticketing counter for an outing of a lifetime. In conjunction with their Merdeka Campaign 2019, the management team decided to create the “Jom Bersih Sungai Melaka” CSR campaign, in partnership with Perbadanan Pembangunan Sungai & Pantai Melaka (PPSPM), who is in-charge of Melaka River Cruise, to clean the Melaka River.

A total of 30 people consisting of 15 Mahkota Parade staff and their family members, headed by their Assistant Marketing Manager, Joshua Chew, took part in this memorable activity. Meanwhile, 15 Melaka River Cruise staff gave a helping hand and shared some details throughout the whole cleaning session. It was also a privilege to have En. Azlan Abidin, CEO of PPSPM, to join in the fun.

The objectives of this CSR initiated by Mahkota Parade were to cultivate a deeper cooperative manner within the company, to create awareness of responsibility among staff and have the excitement of cleaning up the state’s icon, the Melaka River. Mahkota Parade also wishes that with this initiative, it will get many private and government sectors to take part in this type of CSR activity, pledging to keep the state and country clean at all times. This is in-line with Mahkota Parade’s vision to be a community mall that inspires the community to do every bit to build a better nation.
