Herbalife Nutrition Foundation (HNF), a non-profit organization committed to providing good nutrition and nutrition education to children especially those vulnerable and marginalized, recently presented their annual grant worth USD$45,000 (about RM189,000) to its three Casa Herbalife Nutrition partners in Malaysia. Through this initiative, HNF will be providing nutritional support to about 80 children aged two to 17 at Amitabha Charity Orphanage in Johor Bahru, Good Samaritan Home in Klang and Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Yatim/Miskin Rukaiyah in Kajang with each receiving a USD$15,000 (about RM63,000) grant.
“HNF’s flagship Casa Herbalife Nutrition Program helps to ensure that children in need are provided with healthy and nutritious meals every day. To this extent, we are happy to be partnering our three Casa Herbalife Nutrition partners as it is essential to establish good dietary habits by teaching them how to eat healthy at a young age so that they will carry this knowledge into adulthood,” said Steven Chin, General Manager/ Director of Herbalife Nutrition, Malaysia. “Through the Casa Herbalife Nutrition Program, we also hope to inculcate a healthy, active lifestyle into the children’s daily routines for healthier lives in the future.”
The Casa Herbalife Nutrition Program was first established globally in 2005 with the goal of bringing good nutrition to children in need, ensuring their good development and changing the lives of children all over the world. Other than providing financial support for the children, independent Herbalife Nutrition distributors and Herbalife Nutrition corporate employees volunteer their help at these Homes as well.
Good Samaritan Home, founded in January 1999, is a home for orphaned children and for those whose families are unable to take care of them. Meanwhile Amitabha Charity Orphanage is part of Amitabha Malaysia, which aims to create the betterment of society by helping lives, especially the poor and marginalized. Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Yatim/Miskin Rukaiyah was established to support orphans and children in need by providing a safe and stable environment for them.
