65 of Malaysia’s most exemplary corporations were honoured at the 10th Sustainability & CSR Malaysia Awards 2025, the largest and most prestigious ESG and sustainability awards platform in the country, celebrating outstanding achievements in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG); and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Advancing the ESG Agenda
Dato’ R. Rajendran, Chairman of CSR Malaysia, remarked on the growing significance of ESG principles. “ESG is no longer optional—it is a strategic imperative. It drives better stakeholder engagement, reduces operational risk, and enhances long-term business value. Transparent ESG and CSR practices are critical in today’s business climate. Stakeholders—from investors to consumers—expect accountability, and organisations that meet these expectations stand out.”
Lee Seng Chee, Co-Chairman and Managing Editor of CSR Malaysia, added “Sustainability truly involves everyone. It’s not just the responsibility of governments or businesses; individual actions, regardless of scale, contribute to the overall effort. From daily choices about consumption and waste to advocating for change, everyone has a role to play in building a more sustainable future. Mahatma Gandhi once said, “A sustainable future cannot happen without everyone’s participation—because we are all part of the solution.” He had also said, “The future depends on what we do in the present.”

RM13 Million in Donations and NGO Engagement
As part of the awards programme, the CSR Malaysia Carnival was held in parallel, bringing together 22 NGOs and foundations to foster partnerships with the corporate sector. In a powerful display of corporate generosity, cheques totaling RM13 million were presented to various charitable initiatives during the ceremony.
The event reaffirmed Corporate Malaysia’s evolving role—not just as drivers of the economy, but as nation-builders, social partners, and environmental stewards.
“Today’s corporations go beyond profit. They are shaping inclusive economies, safeguarding our environment, and ensuring no one is left behind. Sustainability is more than a trend—it’s a responsibility,” said Lee Seng Chee.
