MR D.I.Y. moved quickly to support rescue teams and frontliners working at the Kemensah Heights’ disaster area. The retailer mobilised its MR D.I.Y Cares unit to quickly source, pack and deliver supplies of mineral water, biscuits and disposable bags, amongst others, to the teams working at the site of the Kemensah Heights’ landslide incident, which occured on September 17th.

Teams from the Police, Fire & Rescue Departments, as well as the Department of Irrigation & Drainage, and the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council were on site carrying out preliminary clean-up work as well as securing the site against further damage.

Group Chairman, Dato’ Azlam Shah Alias said, “The rescue teams have been working tirelessly since the incident occurred. It hasn’t been an easy task, especially with the rains over the past few days, and we wanted to not just help them, but also show our appreciation for their efforts.”

Dato’ Azlam also expressed his appreciation to the MR DIY Cares team, saying, “They were quick to volunteer their services to help out and immediately moved to put together the supplies needed. They have lived up to our commitment of supporting the communities in which we operate, and we are very proud of them.”
