YFBM’s Chief Operating Officer, Johan Halid said, “Our mission to Temerloh and Mentakab is supported by Xiaomi Malaysia with the sponsorship amount totalling up to RM500,000 approximately. The mission includes cleaning the houses of flood victims, surau and mosques. Johan added that donations in the form of basic household appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, mattresses, pillows, cupboards, kitchen utensils as well as the cost of repairing damaged houses are also delivered to flood victims. “We also would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest appreciation to the Public Works Department of Malaysia (JKR) for assisting us in logistics and transportation from here to Temerloh and Mentakab” he added.

Commenting on the corporate sponsorship, Encik Johan Halid said, “This mission to Temerloh and Mentakab is a phase 1 and then phase 2 will follow shortly. Therefore, YFBM always welcomes more corporate companies to continue to work together so that more assistance can be given to the community.

Yayasan Food Bank Malaysia aims to help more flood victims.
Commenting on its role as the coordinator who plans and conducts the collection of surplus food nationwide through the Food Bank initiative, YFBM also hoped that more Food Bank Heroes from manufacturers, food wholesalers, hypermarkets, hotel industry and corporate companies would come forward to help this pure endeavour.
