CSR Malaysia Collaborates with Samaritan Hope

Jun 16, 2023 | CSR Stories

In a remarkable collaboration, CSR Malaysia joined forces with Samaritan Hope, a foundation dedicated to serving the homeless, in an effort to provide food and bring a sense of dignity and belonging to those in need. Samaritan Hope, founded in 2018, has been working tirelessly to support the homeless community by not only offering them food but also aiming to help them rebuild their lives and reintegrate into society.

As part of its latest initiative, CSR Malaysia actively participated in distributing food to the homeless alongside Samaritan Hope. The joint initiative was a testament to the power of collective action and community support. Through this collaboration, the aim was not only to alleviate hunger but also to inspire hope and foster a sense of belonging among the homeless individuals.

The founder of Samaritan Hope, Sister Fatima, highlighted the importance of collaboration and community involvement in their mission. By engaging the public and individuals, they aim to create a network of support that extends beyond one person or organisation. The response from the public has been overwhelmingly positive, demonstrating a shared commitment to making a difference in the lives of the less fortunate.

Samaritan Hope operates a shelter where the homeless individuals they assist can volunteer, fostering a sense of community and providing them with a chance to give back. This unique approach instills a sense of belonging and dignity, empowering the transformed individuals to serve their communities and become agents of positive change.

CSR Malaysia’s collaboration with Samaritan Hope represents a shared vision to address the plight of homelessness and contribute to building a more compassionate society. By extending a helping hand, offering sustenance, and empowering the homeless, together they strive to make a lasting impact and pave the way for a brighter future.

As Sister Fatima expressed, “Not all will respond, but everyone deserves food. Those who respond receive additional assistance, as we work to uplift them and empower them to give back.” Through their dedicated efforts, Samaritan Hope and CSR Malaysia are demonstrating the power of compassion and community engagement in transforming lives and creating a society where everyone has an opportunity to thrive.
