As part of Aemulus Corporation Sdn. Bhd. and the Malaysia Green Building Council’s (malaysiaGBC) continuous and concerted effort to promote the importance of green building and how the sprouting seeds of sustainability should begin somewhere, we intend to reach larger audiences and increase awareness of how green buildings can contribute to the environment.
As such, Greening from Bricks and Mortar 2023, co-organised with the Malaysia Green Building Council (mGBC), is a spin-off event of the Aemulus-hosted Green Architecture Symposium 2022 (GAS). This joint collaboration aims not only to introduce Aemulus Base to a broader audience but also to position ourselves as a green building standing tall in the free trade zone area, in hopes of inspiring like-minded organisations to follow suit. This event is also an opportunity to inspire architects and future architects and promote sustainable building practices for a greener future. In addition, as we gear up for our Aemulus Base Expansion (ABX 2.0), this event serves as a symbolic launch ceremony for our expansion plan as well.
Sounds of birds chirping could be heard…
The day started with some light showers, but the weather took a turn for the better and soon welcomed our guests with morning sunshine. Guests arrived in batches, camera flashes flickering, and the light jazz music playing in the background was the perfect accompaniment to a hearty breakfast at The Balconie.

And so, the event began with an opening speech from the Chairman of Aemulus Holdings Berhad, Dato’ Seri Lee Kah Choon. He mentioned that “Due to human activities, our climate has changed tremendously, and it is good to note that temperature is not the only factor. We need to preserve our environment to ensure that our habitat can continue to serve us in the years to come.”
The great sharing session concluded, followed by the signing of the painting of Aemulus Base Expansion (ABX 2.0), created by a teacher from Archway of Dream Drawing. After a laid-back lunch, a thorough plant tour around our Base ensued, guided by our well-trained staff, before the event came to a close.
