Radium’s partnership with Zoo Negara began with a donation of 99 specially designed umbrellas to celebrate the Zoo’s 60th anniversary. The umbrellas were presented by our Group Managing Director, Datuk Gary Gan, to the Deputy of Zoo Negara, Datuk Rosly @ Rahmat Ahmat Lana
Radium Development Berhad has shown support for one of Malaysia’s national treasures, Zoo Negara, by contributing 99 specially designed umbrellas in celebration of the Zoo’s 60th anniversary this year. These umbrellas are prominently featured at the zoo’s rental kiosk at the entrance for the convenience of visitors.
In addition, 19 Radium employees participated in the Zoo’s ‘Groom’ CSR programme, dedicating their time to cleaning and beautifying the zoo grounds and enclosures. Alongside the employee volunteers, the company also sponsored entry tickets for 46 RDB family members, allowing them to enjoy a day at the zoo.
The rationale behind supporting Zoo Negara was to forge a long-term partnership that honours one of Malaysia’s national treasures. This collaboration aligns with Radium’s ethos of “Building Good” and its commitment to creating thriving communities that people are eager to live in and invest in. The partnership supports Zoo Negara in its efforts to conserve and preserve endangered species and their habitats, promote education and public awareness about wildlife, conservation, and environmental issues, and create a positive social impact by providing access to nature, encouraging leisure activities, and enhancing the overall well-being of the community.
