Tune Protect Group Berhad (“Tune Protect” or “Group”) has been recognised as Company of the Year (Insurance) – Outstanding Community Care at the Sustainability & CSR Malaysia Awards 2025, in honour of its impactful ESG, sustainability and Corporate Good (“CG”) efforts.
The prestigious award was presented during a ceremony officiated by YB Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad, Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development.
Receiving the award at the ceremony, How Kim Lian (“How”), Group Chief Executive Officer of Tune Protect, said, “We are truly honoured to receive this award, which recognises not only our work in 2024 but also the continued dedication of our people across three impactful years. Looking ahead, we are pledging another 6,000 volunteer hours between 2025 and 2027, with a strong focus on conservation, community upliftment and creating lasting impact for future generations.”
In 2024, Tune Protect brought its community vision to life through a series of impactful initiatives under its CG programme, the Group’s volunteer-led platform to drive community empowerment, environmental conservation, and youth development. Key highlights included:
- Roll-Out Iftar: Distributed 2,000 food packs to frontliners and riders in Shah Alam during Ramadan.
- Titipan Kasih Syawal: Organised festive Hari Raya celebrations and ward visits for paediatric patients at Hospital Tunku Ampuan Besar Tuanku Aishah Rohani.
- Battle of the Reds Football Clinic: Gave 40 students from SK Cochrane a lifetime experience to join a charity football clinic and match at Bukit Jalil National Stadium.
- Sports & Digital Focused Corporate Good (Part 1 & 2): Refurbished the school’s digital library and sports grounds, followed by a fun-filled mini sports carnival.
- Tree-Planting with Global Environmental Centre (GCE): Conducted two environmental drives in Selangor to promote conservation and environmental education.
- Kids’ Athletic Carnival: Organised a full day of sports and wellness activities for students, promoting healthy lifestyles and community bonding.
These initiatives form part of Tune Protect’s broader sustainability journey. Between 2022 and 2024, the Group mobilised over 1,000 volunteers, contributing a total of 7,299 hours, positively impacting 27 communities and groups across Malaysia, Thailand and Dubai. Surpassing the 6,000-hour target highlights the Group’s strong culture of volunteerism and its ongoing commitment to making a meaningful difference.

In addition to its community efforts, Tune Protect continues to set the standard in ESG performance. The Group achieved a new high score of 3.9 in the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia Index, an increase from its previous score of 3.8, and remains the only listed general insurer in Malaysia to be included. This reinforces its position as a leader in responsible and sustainable business.
Tune Protect’s sustainability efforts are guided by the vision “In Tune for a Better Tomorrow”, aimed at creating positive change across the environment, communities, and future generations.
