Bumi Armada Berhad continues to advance its commitment to sustainability through a strengthened Environmental and Social Responsibility (ESR) framework that guides all community and environmental initiatives across its global operations. Introduced as an evolution of the company’s traditional CSR approach, the ESR Guidelines strengthen its commitment to delivering meaningful, measurable and sustainable impact while staying aligned with its corporate values and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030. These guidelines serve as the foundation for ESR excellence, emphasising environmental conservation, community empowerment, social inclusion and long-term value creation for the communities where the company operates. In Malaysia, Bumi Armada reaffirmed its commitment to biodiversity restoration through a tree-planting programme on 29 April 2025, in collaboration with the Selangor Forestry Department. During this initiative, 40 employee volunteers planted 200 seedlings of endangered, rare and threatened species, specifically Keranji and Nyatoh Nangka Merah, at Hutan Simpan Raja Musa. The committed and focused planting effort, completed in less than an hour, demonstrates the company’s proactive role in environmental stewardship and supports national and global climate and biodiversity goals.

Bumi Armada also continued its long-standing partnership with the Department of Fisheries Pahang through the Turtle Conservation Awareness and Nesting Site Monitoring Programme held on 14 October 2025. The team contributed to monitoring hatching sites, assessing nesting success rates and improving nesting conditions along the Pahang coastline. To further strengthen scientific conservation work, Bumi Armada sponsored a satellite tracking device to monitor the migratory patterns of a nesting mother turtle. This contribution supports long-term data collection and species protection while encouraging ongoing improvements in turtle landings recorded in the area over recent years.
To further enrich local biodiversity, Bumi Armada organised The Grow Project on 30 October 2025 at Zoo Negara Malaysia. Thirty employee volunteers worked together to plant 120 resilient plant species, including Goeppertia Majestica Albo Lineata, Goeppertia Sanderiana and Monstera Deliciosa Liebm, near the Malayan tiger exhibition. The project helps to strengthen the zoo’s natural landscape and also raises awareness of Malaysia’s endangered wildlife. It is another example of the company’s efforts to connect environmental action with community education.
In the United Kingdom, Bumi Armada UK continued its environmental and community outreach through its partnership with Greyhope Bay. Throughout 2025, the team delivered school visits, community talks, marine-life awareness sessions and several beach clean-ups. Additional outdoor programmes designed for youth as well as a community engagement internship helped broaden the programme’s reach. These activities reflect BAUK’s dedication to environmental advocacy, community learning and active participation in protecting the region’s coastline.

In Indonesia, Bumi Armada’s subsidiary, PT Armada Gema Nusantara, expanded its social empowerment efforts with programmes that create meaningful change. On 21 April 2025, the company formalised a collaboration with the Female Penitentiary Class 2 Malang during a ceremony held in conjunction with Kartini Day. The partnership focuses on empowering women inmates through skills training in areas such as food safety, bakery support, agriculture and garment production. With the support of equipment, tools and guidance for BPOM registration, the programme aims to provide women with sustainable opportunities for rehabilitation and future employment.
AGN also collaborated with the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Brawijaya on 22 May 2025 through the “AGN Goes to Campus” programme. More than 200 engineering students attended the session, which covered FPSO operations, safety, maintenance and pathways for internships. Later, on 28 August 2025, AGN conducted an Internship Hiring Programme at the same university to further strengthen talent development and industry exposure for young engineers.
In Vietnam, Bumi Armada awarded 38 scholarships to final-year students at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and sponsored the First Prize Winner of the BK Innovation Competition on 23 September 2025. These initiatives encourage innovation, academic achievement and the development of future-ready talents.
Across all countries, Bumi Armada’s ESR Guidelines continue to guide the development of responsible, impactful and sustainable programmes. From environmental restoration to education and social empowerment, the company remains dedicated to creating lasting positive change and contributing meaningfully to a more sustainable future.
