Public invited to celebrate a decade of youth empowerment through hands-on learning, creativity and community impact.
Dignity for Children Foundation will mark the 10th anniversary of its Skills Training Programme with the Dignity Skills & Fun Fair 2026 – Charity Fundraiser, a student-led public event taking place on 23 May 2026 (Saturday) at Sentul Boulevard, Kuala Lumpur.

The event celebrates a decade of Dignity’s efforts to equip students from underserved communities with practical, industry-relevant skills that build confidence, employability and pathways to a more dignified future.
What began 10 years ago as a response to a simple but urgent question — what if education was designed to truly fit the child? — has since grown into a dynamic programme that now teaches 13 skills to 250 students weekly. These include graphic design, sewing, woodwork, art, urban gardening, sports management, coding and hairdressing, among others.
The Dignity Skills & Fun Fair 2026 aims to:
- Celebrate 10 years of the Skills Training Programme

F&B Students learning practiced hands on skills

- Showcase students’ skills and creativity to the wider public

Woodworking students and trainers will guide visitors to a hands-on workshop experience

- Raise awareness of Dignity’s work and mission
- Fundraise in support of the continued growth of the programme
Visitors can look forward to a lively and meaningful day of student-led experiences, including:
- A fashion runway featuring student-designed pieces
- Selected batik clothing pieces for auction

From keyfobs and scrunchies to tote bags, student creations available at the fair
- Family-friendly art, sewing and woodworking workshops

It’s alumni woodworking team is now teaching and guiding the next generation

Its students design and sew their own outfits
- A spa station offering head, scalp and shoulder massages
- Fresh food and drinks prepared from scratch by students

Freshly baked by its baking students
- Games and parent-child activities
- An impact zone and human library featuring stories from students and the Dignity community
The event is expected to draw 300 to 400 guests throughout the day, with all proceeds supporting the Skills Training Programme.
“Skills training at Dignity is not just about learning a trade – it is about helping our students discover their strengths, build confidence and prepare for meaningful futures,” said Natalie Tan, Head of Enterprises. “This event is a celebration of what our students have built over the past 10 years and an invitation for the public to experience that journey with us.”
Through this fundraiser, Dignity hopes to raise RM50,000 to support vocational skills training for 200+ students this year.
Members of the public can support the event by purchasing a RM100 Charity Coupon Booklet, which can be used throughout the fair for food, workshops, games, student services and handmade products. Booklets may also be purchased and donated to community members.

Corporate organisations are also invited to support through bulk purchases, sponsorships, or in-kind contributions, as part of employee engagement or CSR initiatives.

All proceeds from the Skills & Fun Fair go back into skills training programmes, supporting students in classes like sewing, baking, F&B and many more to continue learning
