Over 6,000 Malaysians flocked to Sunway City recently to run a race on the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) – Sunway Line elevated guideway and around Sunway City, Malaysia’s first sustainable township, at Sunway’s The Good Run. The run collected RM200,000 which went to Cancerlink Foundation for its cancer awareness and Psychosocial Health Care Support Programme.
The Cancerlink Foundation’s Psychosocial Health Care Support Programme provides information support, socio-emotional caring, management of cancer treatment and physical therapy sessions, which benefit thousands affected by cancer, including patients (cancerChamps), care-givers, families, friends, colleagues, as well as the general public. Volunteers assist with the implementation, conducted by professionals, who provide their service pro bono.
The event was presented by Sunway Property and Sunway Medical Centre, in collaboration with Majlis Perbandaran Subang Jaya (MPSJ) and Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana), with Prudential as a sponsor and Sunway City as the official venue.
