Daikin Malaysia Champions Community Support through CSR Initiatives

May 19, 2023 | CSR Stories

Daikin Malaysia, a leading provider of air conditioning solutions, continues to demonstrate its commitment to uplifting communities and making a positive impact on society. Through its subsidiaries, Daikin Electronic Devices Malaysia Sdn Bhd (DEDM), Daikin Malaysia Sdn Bhd, and Daikin Research & Development Sdn Bhd, the company has undertaken various Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives that address the needs of the underprivileged and contribute to the welfare of the community.

Since 2021, DEDM has spearheaded food bank and charity programs aimed at supporting the less fortunate, including orphanages, elderly care homes, and associations catering to orphaned and handicapped children. These initiatives have brought essential supplies, daily necessities, and financial contributions to organisations across Malaysia, such as Grace Home Klang, Persatuan Kebajikan Chen Ai OKU, and Persatuan Kanak-Kanak Selangor. By extending a helping hand, Daikin aims to alleviate the challenges faced by these vulnerable groups and improve their quality of life.

In addition to its support for social welfare, Daikin Malaysia Sdn Bhd and Daikin Research & Development Sdn Bhd recently donated 11 oxygen concentrators to Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz UKM (HCTM). These life-saving devices are essential for patients undergoing oxygen therapy who may not have the means to afford them. By providing these much-needed medical resources, Daikin is playing a vital role in enhancing healthcare accessibility and ensuring that individuals receive the critical support they require.

Daikin Malaysia’s CSR initiatives reflect the company’s core values of compassion, social responsibility, and community engagement. By actively identifying and addressing the needs of the underprivileged, Daikin is making a significant difference in the lives of many, promoting a more inclusive and caring society.
