Guided by the motto, “Culture of Knowledge, Culture of People,” SIR served as a vibrant centre for learning, research, and information, welcoming everyone from students to lifelong learners.

In an era of rapid scientific and technological advancement, SIR committed itself to staying at the forefront with cutting-edge information technology systems. The spacious 13,789-square-foot library was not just a collection of books; it was a lifelong learning space and a discussion hub for the entire community.

Special Initiatives
To spark greater interest in reading, especially among students, Yayasan Bank Rakyat launched the ‘SIR Corner’ Project in collaboration with 28 selected Higher Education Institutions in Malaysia. This project provided a comfortable study space equipped with desks, bookshelves, computer access, and digital collections on the SIR platform, catering to the needs of researchers, academics, and students alike.
The organisation believed that education could be obtained in many ways, including through engaging programmes that fostered a love for reading.
Yayasan Bank Rakyat warmly invites the Malaysian community to become members of SIR and enjoy full access to the extensive digital content via the website link elibrary.yayasanbankrakyat.com.my.
