Educoop’s Chairman, Mdm Vijaya Letchumi, recently visited the Persatuan Rumah Kebajikan Anak-anak Yatim dan Ibu Tunggal Hajah Kamariah in Taman Medan, Petaling Jaya together with members, En Zainudin Johari and Mr Lee Seng Chee. This welfare home, managed by Pn Noorsidah Yahya, supports approximately 40 children who have lost their fathers and provides aid to single mothers in the community. The home was founded 37 years ago by Pn Noorsidah’s late mother, Hajah Kamariah, and continues to be a pillar of support and strength for those in need. Educoop believes in supporting charitable causes in whatever way it can and gave a donation to support the home during this visit. It is also Educoop’s hope that more organisations can meaningfully play their part in supporting the numerous charitable causes to help the needy in this country. Pn Noorsidah’s dedication and sacrifice in continuing her mother’s legacy for the needy children and their mothers is indeed commendable.
