EXIM Bank’s Strong Commitment to Elephant Conservation

As part of the World Elephant Day Celebration, EXIM Bank continued their contribution to National Elephant Conservation Centre (NECC) this year with a total amount of about RM55,000 as part of their environmental initiative. EXIM Bank Chairman Datuk Feizal Mustapha was present for the handing over of the cheque.This is their 3rd year of collaboration with NECC in support to help conserve the handicapped elephants. Their environmental conscious efforts with the NECC started off in August 2017 where EXIM Bank helped to sponsor a prosthetic leg for Selendang, who lost its front leg due to illegal hunting. The contribution continued the following years with EXIM Bank sponsoring another handicapped baby Elly aged 3 years old until today. The NECC information centre was also refurbished. Key public figures who officiated the event include YB Dr Xavier Jayakumar, YB Tengku Zulpuri Shah, YB Datuk Zurinah binti Pawanteh and YB Dato’ Abdul Kadir bin Abu Hashim.
