Global Peace Foundation continues to champion sustainable community development through impactful, ground-level initiatives that empower underserved communities. With a strong focus on long-term resilience and self-sufficiency, the foundation introduces programmes that create measurable economic and social progress.
The Chicken Farming initiative was first piloted in 2020 and was designed to strengthen Orang Asli livelihoods through: training and capacity building for new farmers; chicken coop construction and subsidies; supplemental feed via a circular nutrient cycle (moringa, ubi kayu, ketum ayam and other local resources); a centralised packing facility with vacuum packing and blast freezing for premium quality; and digital monitoring tools such as AppSheet to track farm performance and stock movement.

Beyond economic gains, the project is cultivating more than livelihoods – it is fostering confidence and a strong sense of ownership among the farmers. Their stories reflect not only improved incomes but also growing pride and responsibility in their work. Despite ongoing challenges, they continue to adapt, improve, and implement solutions. Each voice echoes the same message: with the right support and determination, meaningful change is possible, and even in the toughest circumstances, dreams can take root and flourish.
