As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment, Lumut Port organised the Program Limpahan Kasih on 11 May 2026 at Pengkalan Pipit Jetty, Lenggong, Perak. The programme was held to support and assist asnaf families and underprivileged communities from Kampung Durau and Kampung Batu Ring, while strengthening the relationship between the company and the local community. This initiative reflects Lumut Port’s dedication to social well-being and its ongoing efforts to contribute towards sustainable community development.
The event, which commenced at 9.30 a.m., was attended by Lumut Port management representatives, community leaders and local residents. The programme began with welcoming remarks by the Master of Ceremony, followed by a prayer recitation and a speech by the village representative. Representing the Chief Executive Officer of Lumut Port, the Senior Manager, Corporate & Communication delivered a speech emphasising the importance of compassion, togetherness and mutual support in fostering stronger ties between the corporate sector and the communities it serves.
The highlight of the programme was the presentation of food baskets and cash assistance to 70 asnaf recipients from both villages. The contributions were intended to help ease the financial burden of the recipients and bring joy to them and their families. Beyond providing material assistance, the programme also served as an opportunity for Lumut Port to engage directly with the local community, understand their needs and further strengthen the longstanding relationship between the company and the residents.
Through the Program Limpahan Kasih, Lumut Port aims to continue playing its role as a responsible corporate citizen that contributes not only to economic growth but also to the well-being of society. Programmes such as this form an integral part of the company’s efforts to cultivate a culture of care, generosity and community engagement, while building meaningful and lasting relationships with the communities surrounding its operations.
