In conjunction with the ceremony, the Group’s strategic corporate social responsibility partner, Mah Sing Foundation, also presented a mock cheque of RM300,000 to Women Of Will (WOW) to support the Foundation’s third Women Entrepreneurship Development Programme.

The ceremony, officiated by Deputy Minister for Women, Family and Community Development, Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini binti Ahmad, was held at Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

The Sustainability & CSR Malaysia Awards recognise corporations that are instrumental in shaping a more sustainable and equitable future for Malaysia. In line with this recognition, Mah Sing was commended for its long-term and consistent approach to sustainability and social impact. Through Mah Sing Foundation, the Group continues to support initiatives focused on three core pillars: Education, Health and Wellbeing, and Community Development. With a strong focus on economic empowerment, youth development, and gender inclusivity, these efforts continue to uplift B40 communities across Malaysia.

Representing Mah Sing Foundation, Mah Sing’s Head of Strategic Communications, Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility, Lyanna Tew, presenting RM300,000.00 mock cheque to Women Of Will’s Vice President, Sashi Kumar Vimala Raj.

Mah Sing’s Head of Strategic Communications, Sustainability, and Corporate Responsibility, Lyanna Tew, and Mah Sing Foundation’s Assistant Manager, Loh Yoke Fai, accepted the awards from YB Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini binti Ahmad. The presentation was witnessed by CSR Malaysia’s Chairman, Dato’ R. Rajendran, and Managing Editor and Co-Chairman, Mr. Lee Seng Chee.

Mah Sing’s Founder and Group Managing Director, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Leong Hoy Kum, shared, “We are honoured to be recognised as Company of the Year for our CSR and sustainability efforts for the sixth consecutive year. Receiving the Sustainable Impact Leadership Award, and the Long-Standing Excellence Award reaffirms our commitment to empowering communities and contributing to a better Malaysia. Our focus remains on expanding meaningful, sustainable programmes that deliver tangible, long-term outcomes for underprivileged communities and help break the cycle of poverty. I extend my heartfelt appreciation to our employees, our CSR partner, Mah Sing Foundation, and our strategic partners and NGOs for their dedication in creating real value for the community and environment. We believe that our impact-driven and sustainable initiatives are what continue to set us apart and have contributed to our recognition at these awards.”

Championing Women Entrepreneurs

In conjunction with the ceremony, Mah Sing Foundation presented a mock cheque of RM300,000 to Women Of Will (WOW), represented by its Vice President, Mr. Sashi Kumar Vimala Raj, to support the Foundation’s third Women Entrepreneurship Development Programme. This initiative will benefit 50 B40 women from Program Perumah Rakyat (PPR) Jelatek and Perumahan Awam (PA) Desa Rejang, providing training in financial literacy, business and leadership coaching, and interest-free seed capital to help them start or strengthen their microenterprises.

Lyanna Tew, Head of Strategic Communications, Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility, added, “We’re proud to launch our third collaboration with Women of Will. This programme addresses both capacity building and capital access — two critical elements for sustainable income generation. When women thrive, their families and communities flourish. Our most recent cohort at PPR Seri Semarak recorded an average 56% increase in business income, 29% rise in household income, and a 171% boost in monthly savings. These are the tangible results that inspire us to keep expanding these efforts and help more women break the poverty cycle through education and entrepreneurship.”
