MyTOWN Shopping Centre (MyTOWNKL) recently launched “The Best Christmas Yet-i”, a meaningful message that Christmas memories should be unique, irreplaceable, and highly cherishable.
To further spread the Christmas spirit, MyTOWNKL treated children aged between 12-18 years old from Yayasan Sunbeams Home to a fulfilling outing with scrumptious meals and fun activities. Upon arrival, they experienced the interactive installations with motion capture and sound design where children immediately immersed into the festivity setting.
The itinerary is followed by a movie indulgence at Golden Screen Cinemas, where they were all excited to be watching the new release of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” superhero film. The children were treated to a delectable lunch before a surprise book and stationery shopping spree supported by BookXcess. It was heart-warming seeing their reaction and spoiling them for the day. In addition, the children were also given the opportunity to experience the most comprehensive 4D VR experience at VAR Live where they battled the enemies together in this multisensory VR theme park.
“The occasion is organised with an aim to create a unique experience where it allows us to connect to the community for a memorable yet joyful Christmas. Santa Claus and the Yeti mascots made a special appearance to surprise and interact with the children. Laughter and chatter of children filled the air. We believe that all contributions, big or small, in cash or in kind, can touch lives.” said Mr Christopher Koh, Deputy Centre Manager of MyTOWN Shopping Centre.
In addition, MyTOWNKL organised a charity auction “Bid For Charity”, where shoppers are entitled to bid for their favourite merchandises at a desire value, from products such as the latest iPhone 13 and hotel packages for a memorable vacation sponsored by Royale Chulan, to a great selection of exciting vouchers.
A total of RM7,764.00 was garnered through this initiative, with all proceeds contributed to Yayasan Sunbeams Home; a self-supporting foundation which cares and nurtures for the displaced, abused, and neglected children of single parents.
