In a meaningful initiative to celebrate and support orphans and the underprivileged, six Umrah packages and 100 hampers were given to lucky visitors.
The festive and communal spirit of Ramadan was clearly felt as over 1,000 visitors flocked to the Jom Berbuka Puasa Ala-Madinah initiative at ST Rosyam Mall, Jalan Kebun, Klang.
This special event, organised by ST Rosyam Mart, a 24-hour halal modern wholesale supermarket with a five-star environment, was held to celebrate the local community during the holy month of Ramadan. The initiative, open to everyone, also invited orphans, the underprivileged (asnaf), and representatives from nearby mosques to share in the joy of breaking fast together.

Amongst those celebrated were orphans from the Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-anak Yatim/Miskin Klang (PEYAKIN) and asnaf represented by Masjid Telok Menegon and Masjid Al-Muhsinin, Klang.
The event began with a keynote talk by renowned preacher Ustaz Dato’ Mohammad Kazim Elias, followed by breaking fast, Maghrib, Isyak, and Tarawih prayers, and moreh with the visitors.
In addition, the visitors had the opportunity to participate in a lucky draw offering six free Umrah packages sponsored by ST Rosyam Mart and Ikhlas.com, as well as 100 hampers from various brands.
Director of ST Rosyam Mart, Datuk Rosyam Nor said this year’s buka puasa initiative received an encouraging response, showing that such programmes help strengthen ties between the supermarket and the local community.

“Alhamdulillah, the visitors’ response was amazing. The event not only brought us closer to the community and shared the joy of Ramadan, but also allowed us to perform Maghrib, Isyak, and Tarawih prayers, as well as moreh together.
The highlight was the lucky draw, featuring six umrah packages, including three additional sponsorships from Ikhlas.com, along with 100 hampers from our sponsors. We sincerely thank all our sponsors and strategic partners for their support and look forward to organising it again on an even bigger scale,” added Datuk Rosyam.
The initiative also distributed raya cash gifts from Sri Ternak Group and the Persatuan Suri dan Anggota Wanita Perkhidmatan Awam Malaysia (PUSPANITA) Cawangan KPDN, as well as consolation hampers from Perbadanan Kemajuan Pertanian Selangor (PKPS) and Yeo’s Malaysia to PEYAKIN residents and asnaf. PEYAKIN and the mosques also received cash vouchers worth RM2,000 by Sri Ternak Group and food baskets donated by Ikhlas.com.
Visitors were also treated to a variety of complimentary dishes for visitors, including bubur lambuk from Adabi, chicken biryani from Khulafa, chicken nasi lemak from Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu, 10 types of drinks from 888, and beverages by Nestlé.
Visitors also took home 1,200 complimentary goodie bags sponsored by Yeo’s Malaysia.
