This groundbreaking initiative was crafted to support cancer patients and their caregivers throughout their journey, addressing the rising demand for accessible and affordable care within these communities.
Ribbon of Hope Cancer CARE Program: Comprehensive Support for Patients and Caregivers
Now available at select BIG Pharmacy and CARiNG Pharmacy locations across Malaysia, the Ribbon of Hope Cancer CARE Program provides holistic support to cancer patients and their caregivers, offering essential resources to ease their journey. The program is built around four foundational pillars, known as CARE:
- Counselling: Providing guidance and support through counseling services offered by a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
- Affordable Medications & Accessible Services: Ensuring access to affordable medications and delivery services that cater to the unique needs of cancer patients.
- Rehabilitation and Recovery Resources: Offering a range of medical and rehabilitation equipment to facilitate a smooth transition from hospital to home.
- Early Detection & Risk Reduction: Conducting awareness campaigns, cancer screenings, and educational initiatives that empower individuals to recognize early signs and minimize risk factors.

At the launch, Dr. Jason Chin Yu Aun from the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM) delivered a keynote address, emphasizing the importance of partnerships in promoting cancer prevention and screening. His speech highlighted that collaborative efforts, like that between NCSM and BIG CARiNG Group, are vital for expanding access to early detection and support services.
The event concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between BIG CARiNG Group and NCSM, marking a significant commitment to advancing cancer awareness, early detection programs, and supportive care nationwide. This formal collaboration solidifies BIG CARiNG Group’s dedication to enhancing the well-being of cancer patients and caregivers across Malaysia.
Health Screening Initiative for the Johor Community
As part of the Health & Beauty Expo, BIG CARiNG Group, in collaboration with NCSM, launched a health screening initiative for Johor communities. This initiative provided vital services, including HPV vaccinations, clinical breast exams, prostate-specific antigen tests, hepatitis B and C rapid antigen tests, Smokerlyzer breath tests, and doctor consultations. Through accessible preventive services, BIG CARiNG Group underscored its commitment to proactive healthcare and community wellness.
Support for the Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Foundation
Demonstrating continued support for the cancer community, BIG CARiNG Group made a generous donation to the Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Foundation. The contribution included a RM20,000 sponsorship and additional voucher sponsorship worth RM10,000. Encik Mohd Ikmal Izam Bin Zaini, a representative from the foundation, accepted the donation during the ceremony.
