Secret Recipe’s ongoing partnership with The Lost Food Project continues to bring meaningful impact to underserved communities. The collaboration began with The Lost Food Project collecting biscuit crunchies from Secret Recipe—made using dried cake sponge trimmings—which were donated to various beneficiaries including retirement homes, refugee centres and community organisations.
In 2024, Secret Recipe was invited to participate in food-packing programmes, where volunteers from across departments assisted in sorting and packing essential goods for distribution. The initiative also included engagement sessions where team members helped hand out these packages to local residents as part of a wider community outreach effort.
Most recently, on 8 July 2025, a group of volunteers from Secret Recipe took part in The Lost Food Project’s latest outreach programme, delivering essential supplies to an Orang Asli community in Rawang. The activity not only uplifted team morale but also provided an opportunity to engage directly with the local community, strengthening both corporate-community relations and Secret Recipe’s partnership with The Lost Food Project.
The programme began with collaborative packing efforts, where volunteers prepared dried goods such as rice, cooking oil, snacks and beverages. These supplies were then loaded for transport and later distributed to the Orang Asli families gathered at the community centre.
During the handover, community leaders expressed heartfelt appreciation for the support received. For the volunteers, the experience was a rewarding one—reinforcing a shared sense of purpose, compassion and commitment to social responsibility.
