Striking It with IREKA

Jan 30, 2018 | CSR Stories

Volunteers of IREKA CARES, Ireka Corporation Berhad’s flagship CSR programme, along with 19 children from the Open Hands Children’s Home in Kajang recently had a fun game of bowling at the Bukit Kiara Sports Club. For most of them, it was their first time bowling and there was plenty of positive feedback. It was the perfect game for the children and volunteers to sharpen motor and coordination skills eventhough it may have seemed like a simple exercise. The children picked up fast despite being first-timers.

After the game, the children were treated to a delicious lunch provided by the Bukit Kiara Club. Najla Wan Abdul Rahman, Chairsperson of the IREKA CARES Action Committee said, “It was a fun and competitive day. I am always so proud of how giving the volunteers are and for sure, the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We are already looking forward to the next outing.”
