The company is also working with Universiti Teknologi MARA to manage water treatment plant residuals responsibly by converting them into pre-carbonised materials for agricultural and water treatment processes, as well as exploring smarter ways to optimise coagulant dosing, improving water quality while reducing chemical consumption. By using technologies like artificial intelligence, this partnership focuses on developing more efficient and sustainable methods for water treatment operations.
Beyond supplying sustainable, clean water, Taliworks is also taking proactive steps to manage waste sustainably, keeping the environment well preserved and healthy. With waste management programmes like KITARecycle, now joined by 40,000 participants, and 3R Troopers, which brings recycling awareness into schools, it is building habits that last a lifetime. In 2024 alone, these efforts helped collect and separate over 6 million kilograms of recyclable waste, demonstrating its strong commitment to environmental stewardship.
