A food packing session for YFBM’s Kembara Tengkujuh and Susur Pulau programmes, in collaboration with Nestlé Malaysia, was held at the Yayasan Food Bank Malaysia (YFBM) Collection and Distribution Centre. A total of 800 food packs were successfully prepared as part of ongoing efforts to provide essential food assistance to communities in need through both programmes.
The programme also marked the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Nestlé Malaysia and YFBM, reaffirming their continued collaboration in rescuing surplus food and redistributing it to communities in need across Malaysia. The partnership reflects the shared commitment of both organisations to strengthening food security and ensuring continued access to essential food assistance for those in need.

The event also featured the presentation of a mock cheque from Nestlé Malaysia to YFBM in support of the implementation of the Susur Pulau and Kembara Tengkujuh programmes, particularly in preparation for community assistance during the monsoon season.
The MOU renewal and mock cheque presentation were officiated by Juan Aranols, Chief Executive Officer of Nestlé Malaysia, and received by Johan Halid, Chief Executive Officer of Yayasan Food Bank Malaysia, in the presence of YAM Tengku Datin Paduka Setia Zatashah binti Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, Chairman of Yayasan Food Bank Malaysia.

Following the formal session, the distinguished guests and representatives from both organisations also joined the volunteers in the food packing activity, contributing directly to the preparation of the food packs.
The collaboration reflects the shared efforts of Nestlé Malaysia and YFBM to translate their partnership into meaningful community action. Through food contributions, financial support and direct volunteer participation, the initiative strengthens efforts to bring essential assistance closer to communities facing challenges in accessing basic necessities.
YFBM extends its sincere appreciation to YAM Tengku Zatashah, Nestlé Malaysia and all volunteers for their support, commitment and contribution towards making this collaborative initiative a success. YFBM looks forward to further strengthening this partnership and continuing to work together to extend meaningful assistance to more communities in need across Malaysia.
