Yayasan MR D.I.Y.’s first nationwide Him & Her Health Run 2026 has concluded in Kuala Lumpur, bringing together approximately 12,000 participants across Penang, Kuching and Kuala Lumpur. The series promoted proactive health awareness and raised support for individuals and families affected by cancer and heart disease.

The 5KM run series concluded at Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTiC), Kuala Lumpur, on 17 October 2026, bringing together 6,000 participants for the final leg of the nationwide initiative. The finale was flagged off by Chua Choon Hwa, Deputy Secretary General (Tourism) of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) alongside Dato’ Seri Loo Chong Peng, Trustee of Yayasan MR D.I.Y.; Adrian Ong, Chief Executive Officer of MR D.I.Y. Group Malaysia; Dato’ Azlam Shah Alias, Chairman of MR D.I.Y. Group Malaysia; Brahmal Vasudevan, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Creador; and Yap Jo Dan, Director, Consumer & Agriculture Coverage, Corporate & Investment Banking Coverage, CIMB.

Participants gathered for the Him & Her Health Run 2026, which was held at Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTiC), Kuala Lumpur, on 17 October 2026

The series began in Penang on 17 May with 2,500 participants, followed by Kuching on 19 July with 3,500 participants, bringing total participation across the three locations to approximately 12,000.

Alongside promoting physical activity, the run offered participants access to health screenings, including prostate cancer screening. These screenings encouraged Malaysians to learn more about their health, understand their individual health needs, and recognise the importance of regular health checks and early detection.

Proceeds from this run will support Cancer Research Malaysia (CRM), Yayasan Jantung Malaysia, Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society, Persatuan Sokongan Kanser Kanak-Kanak (CAKNE), Prostate Cancer Society Malaysia (PCSM) and Kumpulan Ibu Bapa Dan Sokongan Anak-Anak Kanser (KIDS).

The contributions will support treatment and financial assistance, patient welfare, families and caregivers, as well as health education, awareness, and research related to cancer and heart disease.

The Kuala Lumpur event marks the completion of Yayasan MR D.I.Y’s first nationwide health run. The Foundation hopes the initiative will inspire Malaysians to make healthier choices, take a more proactive approach to their health and continue supporting those in need beyond the finish line.
