MyKasihCare had the opportunity to visit Uncle Koh, a 70-year-old bedridden patient living in his home in Kg Sg Sendayan. Uncle Koh suffers from Parkinson’s Disease, HTC Recurrent OVA and several other health complications that require continuous daily care and attention.
Uncle Koh is being cared for by his son, who works as a scrap metal and cardboard collector in their residential area. With an unstable and limited income, he struggles to bear the high cost of his father’s medical and daily care needs. The price of Metabolic Energold milk, which costs around RM120 per tin, makes it difficult for the family to maintain a sufficient supply. At times, Uncle Koh runs out of milk, which serves as his main source of nutrition and daily sustenance.
With only around RM300 in monthly assistance, the amount is certainly insufficient to cover the expensive costs of caring for a bedridden patient, including pampers, special milk, medication and medical equipment. Therefore, MyKasihCare sincerely hopes that the relevant aid agencies will review and reconsider the assistance provided to this family to ensure Uncle Koh’s welfare continues to be adequately supported.
MyKasihCare has delivered assistance in the form of 10 tins of Metabolic Energold milk, pampers and a suction machine to the family. This support was made possible through the generous contributions of caring members of the public who continue to stand together in helping those in need.
MyKasihCare would like to express its heartfelt appreciation to all donors and supporters who continuously support its humanitarian efforts. May every contribution become a source of kindness and bring hope and relief to Uncle Koh and his family.
